The Skin Analytics hardware should only be used for the Skin Analytics service. If you experience any problems with the hardware, then please reach out to our support team at [email protected].
Charging
Ensure that the device is charged and switched off at the end of each clinic via USB cable to a powered USB port.
Cleaning
It's important to keep the hardware clean after it has come into contact with a patient, to minimise the risk of cross-infection.
The hardware should be wiped down with disinfectant wipes. These wipes should have an intended use which includes cleaning of non-invasive medical devices, following the instructions for use of those disinfectant wipes.
To clean the dermoscope (e.g. DermLite DL1 Basic), please refer to the dermoscope’s instructions booklet, which is included with your kit, as well as your local cleaning and disinfection guidelines.
When wiping down the dermoscope glass plate, please ensure that no cleaning residue is left on the glass plate before use with the next patient. A cloth will be provided with your kits that can be used to remove any remaining residue after cleaning with the disinfectant wipe. If the dermoscope has come in contact with any bodily fluids, standard disinfectant wipes are not sufficient - please consult local guidelines used within your organisation.
IMPORTANT: Please note, we do not recommend removing the dermoscope lens from the DermLite DL1 Basic hood.
